EuSP2024|GSAC2024 Young Innovator Award

The key theme of the EuSP2024|GSAC2024 joint events is “Innovation”, aligning with the 2024 annual theme of EuChemS-DAC Sample Preparation Study Group and Network. To celebrate this theme, the “EuSP2024|GSAC2024 Young Innovator Award” is being launched. This award will honor early-career researchers who demonstrate exceptional technical advancement and innovation in the field of sample preparation or green analytical chemistry.

The award is open worldwide to researchers who are at an early stage of their career, either pursuing a PhD or having completed their PhD within the last ten years. The winner will be selected by a committee comprising members from both industry and academia. Applicants can expect to receive social media attention and international recognition for their innovation. The winner of the award will be announced during the closing ceremony and will receive an award plaque and an honorarium of 300 Euro.

Announcement of travel grants for Spanish students and post-docs by SEQA

The Spanish Society of Analytical Chemistry (SEQA) offers travel grants to its students and postdoctoral members to attend international conferences, including the European Sample Preparation Conference (EUSP2024) and the 2nd Green and Sustainable Analytical Chemistry Conference (GSAC2024) that will be held in Chania (Crete, Greece) next September. The first call of 2024 is now open!

Grants offered by EuChemS-DAC Sample Preparation Study Group and Network to PhD students

The EuChemS-DAC Sample Preparation Study Group and Network supports the 3rd European Sample Preparation Conference (EuSP2024) and the 2nd Green and Sustainable Analytical Chemistry Conference (GSAC2024), by covering the registration of six (6) European PhD students actively engaged in sample preparation and green analytical chemistry. The grants will cover the Full Registration Fees (Early-Bird registration).

To apply for these grants, applicants must:

(i) send a copy of their submitted abstract and give the type of preferred presentation (Oral or Poster)

(ii) send their detailed resume

(iii) include a recommendation letter from their supervisor

(iv) be a member of the network

All information must be e-mailed to sampleprep<at>tuc.gr (title of email: Application for EuSP2024|GSAC2024 PhD student grant) no later than the 30^th of April, 2024.
